Advanced Visualization Design for General Chemistry Experiment:Exploring the Complexation Reactions of Anthocyanins with Various Metal Ions

Abstract During the experimental process,students are guided to prepare anthocyanin extract solution for characteristic detection and content calculation,and to conduct feasibility tests with five different metal ions to screen for obvious complexation reactions for comparative analysis.By using digital imaging colorimetry to analyze the changes in solution concentration and color,an external calibration curve for the complex is constructed.This experiment combines qualitative observation with quantitative analysis,further enhancing students' interests in chemical experiments by visualizing the complexation reaction,advancing their high-level cognitive thinking,and better engaging them in scientific research and innovation.
