Abstract Scientific inquiry is the salience of the Chinese chemical curriculum reform which advocates the diversiform learning style and gives priority to scientific inquiry. This paper discusses the main methods of chemistry scientific inquiry and classifies them. Moreover, this papergave the strategies to train students by these methodsin chemistry scientific inquiry, and tried to provide some references for practice of chemistry scientific inquiry teaching.
