Abstract Instrumental analysis is one of the basic courses in many majors. In Northeast Forestry University, the course of instrumental analysis is not only the basic course for the majors of chemistry, chemical engineering and technology and applied chemistry, but also the basic course or major elective course of the majors of materials chemistry, light chemical engineering, chemistry processing of forestry products and environmental science. In order to meet the needs of different majors' feature and background,teaching of the instrumental analysis had been reformed on both the theory and experiment.
