Abstract Based on multiple representation model, problem solving teaching can reduce the tension between theory and practice, avoid inherent alienation of science curriculum and teaching reform by interdisciplinary perspective. Card game activities were carried out during the teaching practice of chemical equilibrium. Results showed that the teaching activities could help students to understand symbolic representations deeply by micro representation, realize the transformation between different concepts, correct erroneous concepts, and construct profound ideas of chemical equilibrium.
