Abstract Investigation showed that five factors including attitude to teaching practice, teachers' guidance, class hours of training, simulation of actual classroom and objectivity of teaching practice evaluation influenced teaching practice abilities of pre-service chemistry teachers. According to the analysis of these factors, this paper proposed some suggestions such as establishing a complete and objective evaluation system, changing pre-service teachers' perception to practice, strengthening teaching simulation training and the execution of teaching practice, etc., to improve pre-service teachers' teaching practice abilities.
