Abstract Nursing major recruited liberal arts students and science students and liberal arts students had great difficulties in learning medical chemistry. According to the situation, this paper studied the cognitive law of chemical learning, increased the intensity of the reform of medical chemistry, constructed chemistry teachers' PCK (pedagogical content knowledge), and built basic theory of medical chemistry PCK to improve teaching quality.
