Introduction of the Nobel Prize in Chemistry 2015: DNA Repair Providing Chemical Stability for Life
Tomas Lindahl, Paul Modrich and Aziz Sancar are awarded the Nobel Prize in Chemistry 2015 for having mapped and explained how the cell repairs its DNA and safeguards the genetic information. Their work helps people understand the molecular mechanisms of DNA repair pathways in detail, and provides the basis for understanding the causes of genetic diseases and the mechanisms of cancer and aging process.
Chemical Knowledge in Production Technology of Silk
The refining, dyeing and preservation of silk is closely related to the chemical composition and structure of natural silk. The chemical knowledge in refining, dyeing and preservation of silk was discussed in this article based on the chemical composition and structure of natural silk.
Review and Prospect of Textbook Construction of Inorganic Chemistry for Chemistry and Chemical Engineering Major in Colleges and Universities in China
Before 1950s, the inorganic chemistry textbooks in colleges and universities in China were mainly original or translation edition of corresponding foreign textbooks. In 1960s, the textbook construction of inorganic chemistry in China entered a brief period of prosperity. Now the inorganic chemistry textbooks widely used in colleges and universities are four representative inorganic chemistry textbooks published in 1977-1990. After 2000, although the number of varieties of inorganic chemistry textbooks increased significantly, but the quality is less. In the future, the division and connection of the basic inorganic chemistry and medium inorganic chemistry, and the integration of teaching materials and information technology should be consided.
Teaching Design of Organic Chemistry Based on Electronegativity of Elements with Example of Reaction of Ethylene and Bromine
This paper disclosed the logical relationship that reaction process in organic chemistry is determined by the atomic electronegativity with the teaaching design of the additive reaction of ethylene and bromine. Based on to the analysis of the reacting atomic electronegativity, the students could master the organic reaction mechanism easily.
