Abstract In view of the problems in organic chemistry classroom teaching, this paper described the student-centered teaching reform from three aspects of teaching methods, guiding students' inquiry learning and evaluation methods to stimulate the students' interests. The results showed that combining the core and frontier knowledge could positively guide students' autonomous exploration;"big class teaching, group discussion" could help students to master the core knowledge comprehensively and systematically and stimulate students' interests in knowledge inquiry; students' performance in discussion and inquiry being included in the total score was the recognition and motivation of students' learning ability.
