Inquiry Teaching Design of Covalent Bond Based on Computational Chemistry

Abstract This paper designed inquiry teaching of covalent bond with computational chemistry as tools to solve traditional teaching problems. Revealed the essence of covalent bond through the data of orbital overlap degree, bond length and system energy change in the process of formation of covalent bond, and gave students expert level inquiry experience. Meanwhile, emphasized the role of chemistry thought and knowledge preparation, and made the inquiry activities more scientific.
