Abstract The feature of facial change of learning style, superficial dialogue between teacher and student, and hypocritical teaching objectives of three-dimensional in new curriculum teaching practice led to a certain degree of surface leaning. Deep learning was a proactive, critical learning style, emphasized not only active learning, integration of learning contents, meaning connection, and analogical learning method but also students' higher order thinking and complex problem solving ability. Deep learning provided a feasible path to solve the problem of surface leaning. This paper expounded instructional design for deep learning from the aspects of teaching goal orientation, teaching content selection, teaching strategies, technical support and learning evaluation and so on.
