Abstract Based on the disadvantages of verified and imitated teaching mode in traditional experiment teaching, guided with multi-dimensional teaching objectives and the constructive learning theory, this article explored the teaching design of preparation of cupric subcarbonate.Firstly, the teachers should try to motivate the students' learning interests by constructing contexts about cupic subcarbonate and its application. And then five questions aiming at the preparation route, the controlling of reaction conditions and the designing of experiment program were put forward in order to inspire the students to think deeply and discuss actively. Based on the above questions, the students were guided to complete the design of experiment program independently. Finally, some extended experimental resources were provided to promote the students' application of what they have learned. This teaching design is helpful to change knowledge impartment into guiding students to learn how to learn, and can enhance students' experiment literacy.
