Abstract This paper used the orthogonal experimental method to explore the external factors affecting sodium bicarbonate crystal precipitation, such as volume of saturated sodium carbonate solution, experimental temperature, inside diameter of test tube, flow rate of carbon dioxide and so on, obtained optimum experimental conditions for sodium bicarbonate crystal precipitation in classroom. This optimized experiment can produce a clear white turbidity in about 5 min.
