Abstract  Based on the abnormal phenomenon of bubbling on zinc electrode in the copper-zinc primary battery, this paper explained the reason through the analysis of working principle of different types of primary batteries, put forward some opinions on how to deal with the difficult problem in teaching, then suggested that the high school chemistry textbook should clearly described the phenomenon of bubbling on zinc plate.
