Abstract Using calcium acetate, alcohol and phenolphthalein, this paper designed an interesting experiment of color ice fire ball, and introduced the design reason, the principle and the operation method of this experiment, then discussed some reasons for the color change of the ice fire ball. Finally, this article proposed some reflections for high school chemistry experiment teaching.
