Abstract Stimulating students' interests in learning is the key to improve classroom teaching effect. This paper tried to collect hieroglyphical molecules from chemical popular science website "The Molecule of the Month" and use them in the classroom teaching of organic chemistry and organic synthesis chemistry. Through the realistic, witty, humorous and artistic hieroglyphical molecules used in classroom teaching,the enthusiasm and initiative of the students could be mobilized. And it improved interests in classroom and the vividness of teaching contents. Furthermore, it improved teaching efficiency and level.
