Practice and Effect of Assessment Methods Reform of Chemical Engineering Principle

Abstract To comprehensively, really and rationally evaluate students' achievements for fostering innovative qualified personnel, a series of solution design and practice were carried out based on reform of assessment methods of chemical engineering principle. The students' achievements comprehensively evaluated by means of random questions in the class, quizzes in the class, homework, discussion class and the final examination, which cultivate students' critical thinking, improve the students' autonomous learning ability and problem solving skills, and enable students to be thoroughly acquainted with the theoretical knowledge. Our college students not only obtained elevated average grade in final examination year by year, but also made good results in the previous China Undergraduate Chemical Engineering Design Competition. The assessment methods reform can improve the teaching quality and achieve good teaching effect finally.
