Synthesis of 1, 4-Dimethoxypillar[5]arene and Determination of Association Constant for 1, 4-Dimethoxypillar[5]arene and 1, 6-Diaminohexane
1,4-Dimethoxypillar[5]arene (DMP[5]) was synthesized and the inclusion interactions with 1,6-diaminohexane were studied by NMR titration. The results showed that DMP[5]and 1,6-diaminohexane form a 1:1 complex with an association constant of 49 L/mol, which was calculated by DynaFit. As an organic chemistry experiment for undergraduate students, it may help students learn the leading edge of supramolecular chemistry, stimulate interests and improve the comprehensive ability.
Green Experiment for H2O2-Oxidation of Benzyl Alcoholin to Aldehyde in Water at Room Temperature
The environmentally-benign and inexpensive FeCl3-catalyzed H2O2-oxidation of benzyl alcohol to benzaldehyde in water at room temperature is a representative method for the alcohol oxidation. Moreover, this in-situ generated catalyst displayed the high catalytic activity and selectivity. In such a reaction, the over-oxidation of the product to benzoic acid did not occur.
Role-Playing as a Pedagogical Approach in Chemical Experiment Teaching
During the past decades, independent operation and finishing experiments alone have been accentuated excessively in teaching labs in China, which partly overlooked the organization and effectiveness of cooperative learning strategies. One collaborating learning format is role-playing, which is a tool that allows the students act out real situations, providing practitioners with training in ethics, cooperation competency, communication skills, and so on. The effectiveness of role-playing depends largely on context and execution, and so this article presented a model how to maximize the utility and benefits of role-playing to enhance the performance of experiment teaching. In this pedagogical approach, students assumed roles (manager, or chemist, or analyst) in a "company". Each person played a different role in each experiment, filling each role several times during the rotation.

Application of Microlecture in Teaching Experimental Technology of Medicinal Basic Chemistry in Higher Vocational Education
In view of the objective problems existing in teaching experimental technology of basic chemistry in higher vocational education, the microlecture was introduced into the traditional teaching. This paper introduced the application of microlecture in the course of "experimental technology of medicinal chemistry", and explained the design ideas of the course with "preparation and calibration of EDTA standard solution and determination of calcium gluconate" as an example. Teaching results showed that students could quickly grasp the learning methods, clarify the learning contents, enhance self-confidence, and truly realize "I love learning".
Effect Evaluation of Enterprise Classroom Management in Higher Vocational College: Example of the Organic Chemistry
With the rapid development of vocational education, the transformation of higher vocational colleges is imperative. In this paper, the enterprise management mode was applied to the classroom management and analyzed from three aspects about concept change, role transition and system transition. In organic chemistry course, the effects of the enterprise classroom management mode were objectively and scientifically evaluated by using the fuzzy analytic hierarchy process (AHP). The results showed that the enterprise classroom management mode can well adapt to the needs of the development of vocational colleges transformation, which has a certain reference value for the teaching reform.

Reforming Teaching Mode of Determination of the Formula and the Stable Constant of a Sulfosalicylate Iron (Ⅲ) Complex
In this paper, the reformation of teaching mode in basic medical chemistry experiment is exemplified through determination of the formula and the stable constant of an Iron (III)-sulfosalicylate complex. Students' participation in the whole process of preparation and teaching is demonstrated by the strengthening of the teaching staff and the application of open laboratories. Their consciousness of problems and ability of inquiry can be trained when some details are focused to guide students to discover the drawbacks of using HClO4 in the current textbook, then to analyze and find the possibility of using HNO3 instead of HClO4, and finally to solve the problem by experiments. Thus, students' innovative abilities can be fostered with the teaching purpose achieved.

General Chemistry Teaching in Petroleum Engineering Major Taking “Aqueous Solution Chemistry” as an Example
General chemistry course plays an important role in petroleum engineering undergraduate teaching. This paper discussed the educational methods of general chemistry taking "aqueous solution chemistry" as an example. Firstly, the teachers must establish complete knowledge system, and constantly apply it in each chapter, it would reinforce and extend students understanding of theories. Secondly, the theory teaching must be closely linked to the professional background of petroleum engineering, it would help students learn to analyze engineering questions with chemistry angle. The reform of teaching should be aimed at improving students' learning interests and ability to solve problems. The vivid teaching form and multi-angle examination have been proved to be an effective way to achieve this goal.

Practical experience showed that the teaching approach of the combination of process simulation software and traditional course design extended the subjects scope, enhanced efficiency and quality of the course design, strengthened engineering consciousness of the students, and improved the teaching quality.
Introduction, Discussion, and Applications of Chemical Analysis for Organic Compounds
With the development and application of sophisticated analytical instruments in the chemistry frontier, the chemical analysis of organic chemicals has fallen down to ground in the recent decades. However, due to the low cost and widely accessibility, the chemical analysis should still be able to play some roles in the quantitative or qualitative analysis of organic compounds. This paper started from the introduction of typical chemical analysis methods, followed by the summarization of different group of organic compounds, and the discussion of some complicated or misunderstood methods, as nihydrin test, Fehling & Benedict tests.
