Abstract Taking "ammonia and ammonium-nitrogen fertilizer" for example, this paper established the teaching design ideas for developing decision-making ability, included the following aspects:determining the decision-making events, setting contexts, designing issues, activities and teaching evaluation. Then, based on the 4 aspects of production-transportation, design-renewal, storage-using and rational comment, this paper made the teaching design of ammonia and ammonium nitrogen based on the decision-making ability. At the same time, the properties of ammonia and ammonium-nitrogen fertilizer were embedded in the solving process of the decision-making events.
