Abstract In order to find the reasons that the synthesis of adipic acid do not work well, we investigated four aspects, such as the optimization of dropping speed of cyclohexanol, the change of reaction temperature with reaction time, the effect of coagulation time on product quality and the volume of concentrated solution. According to the experimental results, we found the main reasons for experiment failure, and improved experiment device, selected the optimal process conditions:dropping speed of cyclohexanol at 20 s/drops, the coagulation time of 8 min, the concentrated volume solution of 20 mL. The success rate of the improved experiment was over 90% and the product had good quality.
