Analysis and Enlightenment of Crosscutting Concepts of Science Education in Junior High School of Chinese Taiwan

Abstract This paper studied the science curriculum design of junior high school based on the crosscutting concept frameworks in Chinese Taiwan, including the connotation, elements, curriculum design characteristics and the deficiencies of the crosscutting concept frameworks. This paper also compared the relationships between Compulsory Education Chemistry Curriculum Standards (2011) and crosscutting concept, in order to explore the implications of the crosscutting concepts research on the study of science education in Chinese mainland.
