Abstract Taking the review teaching of "multiple uses of coal" of senior three for example, this paper established the teaching goal based on the core literacy of chemistry, focused on the discussion of following two questions:"How did the chemical factory deal with SO2 produced by coal combustion" "how to select the reaction conditions of coal gasification", and discussed the teaching process in detail. This paper also summarized and reflected on the teaching practice and implementation of the objectives:setting real situations to effectively develop the core literacy of chemistry; innovating teaching design to stimulate students' interests in learning; using a string of questions to promote knowledge and thoughts structured; designing a good teaching plan to promote the literacy dominant.
