Abstract Based on the technology of bio ethanol dehydration, we designed a comprehensive experiment about the preparation of a porous membrane and evaluation of its water/ethanol separation performance. This experiment expounds the overall design idea of material selection, oriented preparation, structural characterization and performance testing, the training of operation skills, and further development directions. This experiment introduces the frontiers of scientific research and pays more attention to practical problems, which can promote the combination of theory and practice, stimulate students' innovative and converse thinking, and enhance students' problem solving ability.
