Abstract This paper presented the definition, energy and covalent properties of hydrogen bond. We think that hydrogen bond can almost be called "another interaction between atoms" based on its development. Therefore, we proposed the reform of the teaching content of hydrogen bond. Thus, it can not only enrich the content of "hydrogen bonds" in basic inorganic chemistry, but also improve the students' awareness of scientific research from the basic course.
