Abstract In this paper, the calibration effect of different standard in the preparation process of sodium thiosulfate solution was compared and studied. Combined with the analysis of reagent dosage, reaction time and significance test, the following results were obtained. Potassium dichromate, potassium iodate and potassium bromate can be used to calibrate sodium thiosulfate solution. When potassium bromate is used as the reference material, the amount of reagent is small, the reaction time is short, the experimental cost is low and the end point is easy to observe. The results show that the two-sided t-test meet the statistical requirements and is more suitable for the calibration of sodium thiosulfate solution.
