Abstract The shorter bridges of polycyclic cage skeleton organic compounds are wiped away step by step in the ChemDraw,a graphics software, using its “eraser” and the polycyclic cage skeleton is converted to bicyclo-system, thus the main ring and main bridge heads of this compound are determined. Thereafter the main ring and main bridge heads are labeled in the structure, the name of this complicated structure organic compound is obtained after numbering and naming this compound according to the numbering and naming of the polycyclic compounds rules.
