Abstract Through exploration and practice, the practitioners established a three-dimension system of combining ideological and political education, making it possible for ideological and political education to stay dynamic not only in class but also before class and after class. In this study, the researchers explored the ideological and political elements of organic chemistry, built the case bank of ideological and political education, implemented surveys on the effects of teaching, tracked students' development, and deepened reflection and summary. By means of the above, this study strived to bring into play the positive effects of integrating ideological and political education into organic chemistry courses, to achieve the goal of educating people through the teaching and learning of organic chemistry courses, and thus to contribute to the cultivation of outstanding teachers for the future.
