Abstract To achieve the goal of “cultivating talents with high morality”, the ideological and political education was effectively implemented in classes of inorganic chemistry. Contents of the ideological and political education including the dialectical-materialism worldview, patriotism, scientific spirit and social responsibility, and excellent traditional culture are organically integrated into the teaching of the inorganic chemistry course, to ensure that the teaching of the inorganic chemistry and ideological and political education are successfully combined. In teaching practice, ideological and political education materials contained in the inorganic chemistry curriculum are sorted out, and six approaches to assimilate the ideological and political education into the inorganic chemistry curriculum and four strategies, namely, permeability, appropriateness, affectivity and compatibility, to put into effect the ideological and political education are summarized.
