Abstract Since its establishment, the chemistry discipline of Jilin University, with innovative chemistry and related interdisciplinary talents as the fundamental goal, has gone through the construction of the national basic science research and teaching talent training base in 1993, the implementation of the “top student training pilot plan in basic disciplines” in 2009, the construction of the “top student training plan 2.0 base in basic disciplines” in 2020 and the implementation of the pilot enrollment reform of basic disciplines (strong foundation plan), Through the continuous construction of the chemical base in recent 30 years, it reflects the evolution of the chemical innovative talent training mode with Jida characteristics of “thick foundation, strong ability and innovation”. At the same time, it can continuously deepen the teaching management mode, optimize the curriculum system, strengthen the team of teachers, and increase the construction of high-quality courses and education platform according to the development of disciplines and the changes of students’ knowledge structure.
