Abstract In response to the development of chemistry and the need for knowledge structure to develop in depth and cross-integration in the cultivation of high-quality talents in chemistry, it is the core objective to improve students’ comprehensive abilities and cultivate scientific and humanistic qualities. College of Chemistry of Jilin University has inherited the educational ideas and teaching traditions of the older generation of chemists, forwarding the talent training mode with the characteristics of “three paradigms” and “four integrations”. It explores the effective ways to education and discusses the safeguard measures and achievements. The mode has universal applicability and can provide the basis and reference for the design of undergraduate talent training program and the arrangement of teaching plan in basic disciplines.
