Abstract Medicinal chemistry is a core course of pharmaceutical major, and possesses abundant ideological and political resources. In this paper, the course of medicinal chemistry was taken as an example, the teaching main line of ideological and political of medicinal chemistry was constructed for seven segments, including “setting goal, disassembling contents, researching spot, digging elements, implicit integration, exploring effects, and making evaluation”. Penicillin in medicinal chemistry course was taken as a case study to show the organic integration of ideological and political content into the whole process of curriculum teaching, so as to provide a new mode for the ideological and political education of other college science and engineering curriculums.
