Abstract It is of great significance to carry out ideological and political education with rare earth elements as the carrier in the analytical chemistry class for solving the problem of “stuck neck” in the field of rare earth high-tech development in China. Here, the construction ideas of integrating the rare earth elements into the analytical chemistry course are discussed. As well, how to play the carrier role of rare earth elements and realize the all-round and whole process objectives of ideological and political construction are demonstrated, and specific practical cases are given.
