Abstract Marxist philosophy is a set of advanced scientific thinking system and has dual characteristics of moral education and promoting teaching. In this paper, we infiltrate some most basic, universal viewpoints and methods in Marxist philosophy, such as “see the nature of problems through phenomenon”, “things are universal” and “things are constantly developing”, into the teaching of medical basic chemistry course to cultivate students thinking habit of exploring the essence, systematic thinking and scientific learning methods, questioning spirit and innovative consciousness by solving the doubtful point, key point, and pain point problems to improve students' professional learning ability. The results of teaching feedback indicate that infiltrating philosophical thought is helpful to promote the teaching quality and achieve effective unification of moral education and teaching promotion.
