Abstract Through the implementation of the process assessment concept and the careful designing of the examination content, using multiple test mode, including unit test + stage test, online test + offline test, with the means of appreciation education, the teaching reform exploration of English chemistry specialty course was completed. Together with the enhancement of confidence of the students, the goal of “promoting learning by examination” was realized, so that the students wound learn with pressure and motivation, and obtain an efficient and obvious improvement on teaching effect.
