Abstract In response to the problems of weak basic knowledge, insufficient ability to analyze and solve practical problems using theoretical knowledge, and lack of innovative thinking inorganic chemistry experimental course teaching, which affect the cultivation of top-notch innovative talents in traditional Chinese medicine, taking aspirin preparation as an example, a course teaching reform with “basic knowledge-innovative thinking-application ability” as the main line is constructed, aiming to stimulate students to master basic knowledge through multiple channels, cultivate their innovative application ability in applying organic synthesis to the development of traditional Chinese medicine. This teaching reform has effectively promoted the improvement of the teaching quality of organic chemistry experimental courses, laying a solid foundation for the inheritance, innovation, and development of traditional Chinese medicine.
