Abstract An overview is provided about the development process of protein structure studies:from the early X-ray crystallography techniques to the modern cryo-electron microscopy techniques(cryo-EM),as well as the application of computational methods in protein structure prediction and design.Biomedical research has been not only advanced by these scientific achievements,but also a rich reservoir of pedagogical resources for chemistry education has been provided.By integrating these contents into chemistry teaching,students’ abilities can be effectively enhanced,their core competencies can be developed,and their interdisciplinary thinking can be cultivated.
