Abstract  It's a growing concern and attention that the talents training mode is explored and deepened in local colleges. Taking the applied chemistry major of Chongqing University of Education (chemical pharmaceutics and drug analysis and detection direction) as example, the training program, exploration of teaching, curriculum reform and condition guarantee were analyzed and discussed, in order to share the experiences and approaches in cultivating applied talents in local colleges. According to the functions of local applied colleges, the results showed that the talents training mode should pay more attention to the close contact with local enterprise, and strive to meet the requirements of the industry for the detection and analysis of chemical pharmaceutical talents.
