Abstract  Advanced Analytical Chemistry is a practical course whose characteristics is content-renewal and strong multidiscipline intersection. In the classroom teaching of our postgraduate majored in analytical chemistry, not only were the contents of the course complicated, old, abstract, and poorly systematic, but also its class hour was relatively few. Around these problems, we renewed teaching ideas promptly to reform course orientation, textbook construction, teaching method, teaching means, and assessment system in order to stimulate students' interests and enthusiasm, raise the awareness of scientific research innovation and the ability of problem solving, and improve overall teaching quality of the course.
