Abstract Chemistry is a highly logical and systematic subject. To demonstrate the general view of university chemistry to the preparatory college students effectively, knowledge map teaching method was applied in the university chemistry course.The content of the introduction course were prepared carefully, the textbook catalog was explained in detail, so students could have a clear understanding of the content, structure and learning methods of the course. During the teaching process, the connection between key knowledge points were emphasized repeatedly. Thus overall impression of the whole university chemistry course was established in the students' mind, the key knowledge points were get efficiently, and at the same time, the scientific and reasonable knowledge system was built.
