Abstract  Comprehensive chemistry experiment is an experiment course for senior students major in chemistry. With the continuous development, comprehensive chemistry experiment course has gradually become an innovative experiment course with novel and diverse teaching methods and multi-level teaching contents, which effectively help students to integrate experimental theories, improve chemistry-related experimental skills, and build up the ability to analyze and solve chemistry-related scientific problems. This article summarizes the practice in the development of the comprehensive chemistry experiment course, especially in teaching design, teaching contents and teaching methods, and discusses the future strategies in the development of the course.
