Abstract  The development of concepts related to catalytic science from the early application of catalytic technology to the formation of concepts and then tend to perfect, scientists' research has experienced from practice to conjecture to theoretical establishment, from qualitative to quantitative, from macro to micro level process. By clarifying the development of related concepts of catalysis science, the educational value of catalysis science is discussed.
