Abstract  Based on the characteristics of structural chemistry and computational chemistry courses and the analysis of students’ learning, we propose a teaching strategy by organically combining structural chemistry with computational chemistry during the teaching. It provides a good learning method for students to understand the abstract concepts and theories of structural chemistry and understanding the basic knowledge of computational chemistry, as well as a good teaching strategy for teachers.
