Abstract  After studying the history, cutting-edge applications and learning situation of intermolecular forces, learning progress of intermolecular forces, flowchart of overall teaching plan, real situations and instructional designs are designed to cultivate key competencies and core literacies of students. The study concludes that teachers' deep subject understanding and accurate assessment of students' levels are basis for designing learning progress. Select teaching situations contributes a lot to promote the progress of students'key competencies and core literacies. And the use of physical models and metaphors is an important way to facilitate students' learning progress.
