Abstract  Four typical issues that commonly exist in polymer chemistry teaching and the “Introduction” of some popular domestic polymer chemistry textbooks are discussed, including the definition of macromolecule and monomeric unit, the definition of subunit and its application in the nomenclature of some typical polymers, and the application of dialectical materialism in polymer chemistry teaching aimed at providing methodological guidance to students, cultivating students' dialectical thinking awareness and ability, and conducting course ideological and political education while imparting knowledge.
