Abstract In this paper,a comprehensive innovative experiment based on coordination chemistry for undergraduatehas been designed and proposed.In the experiment,a novel metal-organic framework material Tb-MOF({[H2N(CH3)2]2[Tb2(L)2(H2O)]}n,(H2L=4,4′-(1H-imidazole-1,3(2H)-diyl)dibenzoic acid) has been employed as a fluorescence probe to detect Roxarsone(ROX) with noticeable color changes,which greatly stimulate students’ interests in scientific research and experiment.This experiment not only can deepen students’ understanding of the knowledge points related to coordination chemistry,but also can help them master the preparation methods and basic characterization means of MOFs materials proficiently,which cultivate students’ innovative thinking and the ability to solve the practical problems.This experiment as a case of the transformation of scientific research achievements achieves the feedback of scientific research to teaching,providing important references and thoughts for the reform of experimental teaching in colleges and universities.
