Two formsofglutathioneexist inside thebody, one isGSSG, theother isGSH. Since the mercapto group in molecule of GSH is easily oxidized, it can eliminate activated oxygen. Mercapto group possess the effects which not only protect both enzyme and proteins from being oxidized, but also frombeing injured the organs inside the body. The synthetic GSHsynthesis has been used widely in clinics.
