Styrene is an important material for many chemical productions in industry. Foamed polystyrene has been used to produce disposable table ware, and there are also some arguments about its uses. Styrene is briefly introduced and polystyrene's uses and the environment argument are discussed in this paper.

There are many chiral compounds which exist in animal, plant, medicine, food, perfume and pesticide et al. This article introduce the characteristicsof chiral compounds, chiral medicine, chiral separation, especially the modern separation methods for chiral compounds in chromatography.
