Abstract Based on dialogue with Henry Jakubowski as professor and director of department of chemistry of college of St.Benedict and Saint John's University,this article discussed American undergraduate chemistry education revolution, the quality of students, inquiry teaching, practical teaching and teaching art, and then probed further into the initiative of teachers in choosing the textbooks, teaching practice and student assessment.
