Abstract Selecting the polyvinyl alcohol eye drops and vinylon fiber as the teaching material, unite integrated design and teaching practice of "entering the era of synthetic polymer compound"were carried out. This paper integrated the teaching contents following three professional systems, namely polymer chemistry, polymer physics and polymer engineering. And it created specific situations and questions to inspire students to acquire new knowledge through reflection, discussion as well as doing experiments in class and finally comprehend the general research methods of polymer science and engineering, as well as the relationship among polymer compositions, structures, properties and applications.
