Abstract According to the training programs and targets of application-oriented talents in our school, the course reform of physical chemistry is implemented in order to enhance the ability of students who can master and apply knowledge with ease. Based on the traditional teaching method, the two novel modes, the flipped learning and the case-based teaching, are both introduced to stimulate the students’ enthusiasm and creation when they study physical chemistry. The elaborate operating process is set forth via listing the colligative property of dilute solution as the typical example, contributing toilluminatethe application of flipped learning and case-based teaching in the physical chemistry course. Students are absolutely immerged and indulged in physical chemistry, so that the approving educational quality could be reached through the interaction between teachers and students.
