Abstract The experiment of preparing electrostatic multiwalled carbon nanotube(MWCNTs)/polyvinyl alcohol composite fiber was designed. The experiment studied the influence of spinning concentration, spinning voltage, receiving distance, receiving area, modification and addition amount of MWCNTs on the composite fiber morphology, tested and analyzed the infrared spectrum and scanning electron microscopy, and obtained optimized electrospinning process for the preparation of MWCNTs/polyvinyl alcohol composite fiber by electrostatic spinning. The experiment is easy to operate in groups and involves the modification, preparation, morphology characterization and result analysis of polymer materials, which is helpful for students to consolidate theoretical knowledge, improve practical ability and comprehensive application ability.
